The roots of Terex Italia come from to the Bendini Srl Italy SpA, founded in 1968 at Crespellano, near Bologna, and grew up in the years to acquire a role of primary importance in the field of mobile cranes, asserting itself, especially in Italy, as a point of reference for the rough terrain cranes market. In 1989 the Bendini joined the PPM group, main french manufacturer of all terrain cranes. In 1995, the french PPM is acquired by the american group Terex Corporation, a diversified global manufacturer of a wide range of machinery for the construction and mining based in the Westport, Connecticut, U.S. In November 1999, Bendini became Terex Italy Srl. In the lifting sector Terex manufactures and sells hydraulic cranes, tower cranes, telehandlers, platforms, etc.
